Built on 15 acres of forest land, the Tiger Den Resort in Bandhavgarh comprises 20 mud-and-thatch finished cottage units arranged along the edge a horseshoe shaped private lagoon. The unique design of the resort ensures that each cottage overlooks the water-front and offers a panoramic view of nature while still ensuring total privacy.
The resort swimming pool is located at the center of the guest wing and is easily accessible from each cottage. A lily pond encircles the pool, lending a scenic tropical ambience. Enjoy a swim in the pool or just soak in the Sun on our reclining pool loungers.
The administrative wing of the resort includes a large viewing deck on the water front, a full service restaurant with multi-cuisine a-la-carte and buffet options, a bar lounge, mini-library, gift shop, and reception area.
Just like the rest of the resort, the guest accommodation at Tiger Lagoon is carefully designed to blend nature and comfort to create a uniquely relaxing and soothing experience.
Each of our 20 cottage style units is equipped with amenities and luxuries and yet retain an earthy, rustic quality thanks to their roomy design, nature-inspired décor and multiple large panel windows.
In addition to an extra spacious studio-style room, each cottage unit includes a large dressing room with closet, a king-size bathroom and a private deck on the water front.
But perhaps the most uniquely indulgent feature of our cottages is the outdoor bath. In addition to a complete bathroom, each cottage features an open-to-sky bath area with a sunken jacuzzi or bath-tub, or rain shower. Enjoy a shower under the blue sky or take a long bath in the Sun while still in the total privacy of your personal space.
Other room amenities include remote controlled split air-conditioning mosquito protection, sit-up backrests on beds, night stands with bedside lamps, satellite television, study desk and coffee table set.
The resort also offers full room service, laundry service and Internet access. A doctor is on call should you require any medical assistance.
There’s a range of activities you can enjoy within and in the vicinity of Tiger Lagoon resort and we are happy to advise you or help make arrangements. We also provide support for corporate getaways including meeting room and audio-visual equipment.
Feel like you just want to let your hair down? Relax with a book in your open-to-sky bath tub, swim a few gentle laps in the resort pool or just sip a cup of chai while watching birds from your private deck on the water front.
Ready for something a little more active? Enjoy a wildlife audio-visual presentation by our naturalists, chat up with other guests by a bonfire during winter months, or take a guided nature walk or cycling tour of the area. We can also arrange cultural shows such as folk dances, on request.
The Bandhavgarh National Park is the biggest attraction of the region. Jeep safaris to the Park leave early morning and in the afternoon and are the most convenient way to see the park. We will make all the arrangements for you including hiring a safari jeep and making reservations at the park. Jeep safaris are quite affordable and most visitors usually take more than one jeep safari to soak in the most of the fantastic biodiversity on display. Our experienced naturalists will accompany you on your safari to help you glean the most from your tour.
The 2000-year-old Bandhavgarh Fort located atop Bandhavgarh Hill within the National Park is another major attraction of the region. The fort is steeped in history with references to it dating back to the period of the great Hindu epic, Ramayana. The ramparts of the fort provide a breathtaking view of the national park.
There are also a number of ancient relics and monuments around the fort. A series of man-made caves in the region have inscriptions and carvings dating back to 2nd century A.D. There are also a number of monolithic statues of incarnations of the Hindu god, Lord Vishnu, dating back to around 10-11th Century A.D. Of these, “Sheshshaiya” the statue of Lord Vishnu in reclining pose is the largest and a key attraction.
You can also make day trips to various attractions located further from the resort such as the marble rocks at Bhedaghat, the cities of Jabalpur and Khajuraho.
